I went with the Bakudan soba topped with tomato slices and sesame oil, and it was fantastic. What really stands out is the wonderfully slimy texture of the Bakudan mix – it’s loaded with bold flavors from the natto and roselle, all tied together with shoyu and a rich, fresh egg yolk. Fair warning though: if slimy textures or natto’s funky flavor aren’t your thing, you might want to skip this one and explore other menu options. Speaking of which, if you’re not sure what to order, take a look at the walls – they showcase both the chef’s recommendations and customer favorites. Everything’s written in Japanese, so have Google Translate handy. Overall rating: 10/10

Wow the food was so good! We just happened upon the place because it was near our accommodation. Everything was so yummy and felt very authentically Japanese. So much so that all the other people in the restaurants were Japanese. Would come again!
